Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder System in Louisville, Kentucky. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with trucks and equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform repairs as needed
  • Work with senior technicians to complete complex repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in transportation maintenance, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively, work shift work/weekend as required, perform all entry-level tasks, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computers
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire
