Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Use diagnostic equipment, such as scanners and multimeters, to identify and troubleshoot problems
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field; ASE certification a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and maneuver in a warehouse environment
