Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse to join our team at the University of Kentucky. The successful candidate will have a strong background in trauma nursing and a proven track record of improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address trauma-related issues
- Conduct thorough analyses of trauma cases to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes
- Provide education and training to staff on trauma-related topics
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Minimum three years of trauma nursing experience, preferably in ICU, ED, or Flight
- Experience in quality improvement and research preferred
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of word processing, database management, and statistical software
- Master of Science in Nursing or other healthcare-related Master's degree
- Certification in specialty preferred (TNCC)
