As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and prioritizing tasks to ensure that every order is accurately staged and delivered on time. This role involves enhancing the skills of the staging staff and fostering a positive customer experience. The Shipping Operations Manager will also contribute to the coaching and development of team members, providing daily feedback and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, you will anticipate changes needed in the staging department's staffing and functions in alignment with company growth.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of entries.
* Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and analysis to senior management.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
* Mentor and support junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

**Working Conditions:**

* Typically a full-time position, with occasional extended hours during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end).
* Will work in office Monday through Friday.

**Pay:** $60,000 annually
