Job Summary

Foundation Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and working closely with our sales team to identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform takeoffs and quotes, tracking projects with CRM Zoho.
  • Provide engineering support to our East coast customer base, with some West coast support.
  • Attend and present at conferences and industry gatherings as a helical piles subject matter expert.
  • Work with DOTs and other owners to drive the use of FTI's family of brands within the AOR.
  • Be actively involved in technical committees to support FTI's Helical team.
  • Identify potential contractors to pass on to the sales team for friendly visits and phone calls to discuss helical business.

Primary Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Put together takeoffs/quotes.
  • Answer technical/engineering questions.
  • Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical or Structural engineering; or its demonstrated equivalent.
  • EIT/PE or GIT/PG certification preferred but not required.
  • 5 years Civil/Geotechnical or Structural experience.
  • Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and geotechnical reports.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, basic CAD).
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Works well with diverse groups.
  • Hard Worker/Self-Starter.
