Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Release Manager to oversee the entire software release process for Tesla's Bot software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and release management, with experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the technical software release workflows end-to-end, ensuring seamless collaboration with technical leads, component owners, infrastructure support, QA, and external teams.
  • Track progress toward release signoff completion, manage branch creation, auto-merging, and change control.
  • Handle large branch merges that often require git conflict resolutions and input from multiple engineers across the company.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues related to release scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Maintain a release log with key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and feature descriptions.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce workflow inefficiencies.
Requirements
  • A desire to move fast, identify blockers, and find solutions independently, and fix problems without being asked.
  • Proven track record of being a self-starter and exceptional leadership qualities (i.e., have personally solved difficult problems that have moved the needle on meaningful projects).
  • Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar project management software a plus.
  • Experience with git.
  • Experience releasing customer-facing software at scale in a fast-paced work environment a plus.
  • Flexibility to work weekends.

Expected Compensation

$88,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.
