Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Coordinator to join our team at Proliance Surgeons, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing medical leave and disability paperwork, ensuring compliance with OSHA/WISHA and other regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with clinic procedures, including preparing patient exam, dressing, and procedural areas using aseptic technique.
  • Hold patients in position for extended periods, manipulate body parts, and use instruments to hold procedural or imaging areas immobile.
  • Report test results to patients in a timely manner, as indicated by the physician.
  • Chart all vital information in electronic records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform phone triage, post-op calls, and respond to voicemail messages within the same business day or 24 business hours.
  • Document all encounters and maintain patient documentation for visits and communications.
  • Coordinate care and diagnostic testing at other facilities, as indicated by the physician.
  • Assist providers in e-scribing, maintaining medication lists, and communicating with referring doctors.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure supplies are stocked and in place.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (preferred) or willingness to provide training.
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience processing medical leave and disability paperwork.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a medical office (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medications.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including data entry.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Impeccable integrity.
  • Great interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, compassion, empathy, and the ability to work well with all types of people.
  • Adherence to all safety, risk management, and precautionary procedures, including HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Ability to use time efficiently, with attention to quality, detail, accuracy, and completion.
