Account Specialist I

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist I to join our commercial risk team in Philadelphia, PA. As an Account Specialist I, you will play a critical role in assisting Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients, and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients.
- Manage client-facing and internal activities related to these processes, including complex clients.
- Assist Brokers as necessary, particularly on Commercial Risk business.
- Perform submission assembly/creation, facilitate timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members, and handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
- Gather and analyze data, draft stewardship reports, and create convincing presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and circumstances of the presentation.
- Actively support and monitor the renewal process, draft quote comparisons, and follow up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
- Collaborate with Premium Accounting on client billing matters and serve as the primary point of contact with Aon Client Services (ACS), coordinating activities of the client service team and ACS to ensure key processes are performed efficiently and quality of client deliverables.
- Monitor and follow up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, addressing and resolving problems.
- May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist, delegate work to support staff and ACS where applicable, and ensure tools are understood and used.
- 1-2 years of previous commercial insurance experience preferred.
- Property and casualty brokers license preferred or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
- Maintains effective and positive relationships with clients, serves independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity, and performs submission assembly/creation.
