Account Specialist I

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist I to join our commercial risk team in Philadelphia, PA.
About the Role:The Account Specialist I will assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes. This role will also assist Brokers as necessary, particularly on Commercial Risk business.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in managing key processes that serve clients, including complex clients.
- Undertake client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.
- Assist Brokers as necessary, particularly on Commercial Risk business.
- Perform submission assembly/creation where assigned.
- Facilitate the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members.
- Handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
- Gather and analyze data and draft assigned elements of stewardship reports and other convincing presentations.
- Actively support and monitor the renewal process.
- Coordinate activities with Aon Client Services (ACS) to ensure key processes are performed efficiently.
- Collaborate with Premium Accounting on client billing matters.
- Receive and handle routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests.
- Serve as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, and policy transmittals.
- Monitor and follow-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections.
- Address and resolve problems.
- May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist.
- 1-2 years of previous commercial insurance experience preferred.
- Property and casualty brokers license preferred or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
- Maintains effective and positive relationships with clients.
- Serves independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity.
