Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our Immigration Team. As a USCIS Attorney, you will play a critical role in managing caseloads, interacting with clients, and collaborating with our team of attorneys and legal assistants.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Case Strategies: Develop and implement effective case strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Represent Clients in Immigration Proceedings: Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Manage Caseloads and Client Interactions: Manage workload of cases, interact with clients, and collaborate with our team to ensure seamless case management.
- Prepare and Submit Immigration Applications: Prepare and submit diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
- Review and Analyze Immigration Applications: Review and analyze immigration applications/packets and make any necessary adjustments.
- Present to and Work with Law Enforcement and Community-Based Organizations: Present to and work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law.
- Meet with Potential Clients for Strategic Consultations: Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategy.
- Provide Legal Analysis and Advice: Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits.
- Prepare and Submit Legal Briefs: Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
- At Least 3-5 Years of Immigration Law Experience: Possess at least 3-5 years of experience in immigration law, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Team Player with Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred: Possess bilingual skills in English and Spanish, although not required.
- Record of Moving Cases Forward and Managing Caseloads: Possess a record of moving cases forward and managing caseloads effectively.
- Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and Other USCIS Applications: Possess experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian, EOIR, detained, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
- Experience with Case Management Software Preferred: Possess experience with case management software, although not required.
