Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Equipment Coordinator to join our team at Layne Christensen. This role is responsible for maintaining and processing driver qualification activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordinating with operations and area personnel to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer ELD software system, implement updates, and provide support to field employees.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with Hours-of-Service regulations, ELD usage, pre/post trip inspections, and DVIR reviews.
  • Maintain fleet licensing, titling, and registrations, and perform administrative tasks related to general fleet, DOT, and equipment filing.
  • Provide support to Equipment and operations to allow for timely and efficient administration of all equipment purchased, rentals, sales, and vehicle licensing.
  • Order MVR and/or PSP records to ensure prospective and current employees are legally qualified to drive.
  • Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of DOT files, including regular audits of driver qualification files, collecting required/updated documentation as necessary.
  • Respond to DOT verification of employment requests.
  • Ensure that all training materials are up to date, necessary supplies are available, and that inventories are secured and kept up to date.
  • Monitor probationary drivers periodically to ensure they maintain state and federal compliance.
  • Collect data and file IFTA reporting, and other state required fuel/mileage taxes.
  • Assist DOT Compliance Manager with any other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in DOT or Fleet administration preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience with DMV processes preferred.
  • 3+ years administrative experience.
