Overview:

Sugarbush Resort is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to lead the team at Rumble's Bistro and Bar, our premier dining destination located at the base of the mountain at Lincoln Peak.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of success in managing high-volume food service operations. As a Restaurant Manager at Sugarbush Resort, you will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment, ensuring exceptional guest service, and driving revenue growth through effective menu management and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Manage daily operations, including menu planning, inventory control, and staff scheduling
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase revenue
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to plan and execute large group events and banquets
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including food safety and liquor licensing
  • Monitor and control labor costs, inventory, and other expenses to maintain profitability
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant management or supervision
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
  • Valid food handler's license and VT liquor certification
