The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, along with expertise in solid modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), signal processing, and data interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model material behavior through solid modeling and FEA techniques
  • Employ optical diagnostics and signal processing for effective material characterization
  • Integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence to enhance physics-based models for material properties
  • Design and implement experimental setups for comprehensive testing
  • Conduct data analysis utilizing advanced algorithms and modeling techniques
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations for both internal stakeholders and external audiences

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field with a minimum of one year of post-doctoral experience
  • Proficient in MATLAB, SOLIDWORKS, and LABVIEW software
  • Demonstrated experience in material characterization and diagnostic methods
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
