Job Title: Conservation Program Manager

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Program Manager to lead our Upper Rio Grande Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the program's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality conservation projects, and fostering strong relationships with our partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Upper Rio Grande Program, including project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Conservation Program Coordinators, Tribal Programs Coordinator, and Training Coordinator, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Community Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with local communities, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Project Acquisition: Identify and pursue new project opportunities, securing funding and resources to support program growth and development.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Develop and maintain accurate records, reports, and evaluations, ensuring compliance with RMYC's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, conservation biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a youth conservation corps or related field, with a strong background in program management, team leadership, and community collaboration.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification preferred.
