Position Overview:
The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients.

This role involves utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, under the guidance of the ICU Manager and House Shift Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients while effectively communicating with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Uphold the standards of professional nursing practice in all interactions.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Mexico.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is mandatory.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a medical/surgical unit within an acute care environment is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of arrhythmias and experience with code blue situations is required.
