Podiatry Medical Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Podiatry Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team. This role involves a variety of administrative and clinical tasks essential for the efficient operation of our medical facility. The environment is dynamic, requiring strong multitasking abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist medical personnel with routine clinical procedures.
- Guide patients to examination rooms.
- Carry out specific procedures or therapies under the supervision of a physician.
- Support physicians during patient examinations.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs such as weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and accurately document all findings in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Provide patients with instructions as directed by the physician.
- Ensure that all relevant reports, lab results, and information are organized and accessible in patients' electronic medical records prior to their appointments.
- Maintain examination rooms with necessary medical supplies, manage instruments, and prepare for sterilization as needed.
- Handle telephone messages and respond to inquiries from patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
- Prioritize and relay messages from patients and front office staff to physicians.
- Assist in maintaining logs and required checks, such as inventory sheets and expired medications or supplies, and notify the lead Medical Assistant as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the lead Medical Assistant, office manager, or physician.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical environment is preferred. Completion of a Medical Assistant program from a technical school is required.
- Knowledge of medical billing processes is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced setting.
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting is required.
