Job Title: Environmental Engineer Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer Manager to join our team at the Department of Environmental Protection. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing activities related to waste management permits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting environmental protection and public health.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise activities related to waste management permits, including permits for land disposal sites, waste processing facilities, and resource recovery centers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations governing waste management, including the storage, treatment, processing, reuse, and disposal of municipal, residual, and hazardous wastes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote environmental protection and public health.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve environmental protection goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as an Environmental Engineer or an Air Quality Engineer, or five years of professional engineering experience in environmental protection or in environmental project development, design, or construction.
  • Valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists, or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the applicable licensing body of another state.
  • Current driver's license that is not under suspension.
