About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team at Pye-Barker Fire and Safety. As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our customers and their properties through the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on fire suppression systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Service and inspect fire suppression systems to identify any potential issues or defects.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace fire suppression equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner to ensure their needs are met.
  • Install or upgrade fire sprinklers in commercial and residential buildings to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
  • Test and repair alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.
  • Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code and report any issues or defects.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports documenting any issues or defects and report results of work completed in a timely manner.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems preferred.
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend, and/or out-of-town assignments.
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety.
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work.
  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
