Position Overview

The Cybersecurity Solutions Consultant will collaborate with Architects and Engineers as a security authority, providing support to account teams, clients, and market initiatives. This role emphasizes a consultative methodology, engaging in dialogues with clients about security solutions, comprehending how technology facilitates business operations, and identifying growth opportunities for the organization. This position allows for remote work with a home office setup as designated by SHI management.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring account retention and expanding various lines of Cybersecurity business within existing accounts by assisting the Account Executive with their clients' security needs.
  • Leading the security solution sales process, which encompasses opportunity qualification, forecasting, decision-making criteria, and closing deals.
  • Gaining knowledge of company service offerings across all security service areas through self-directed learning, certification acquisition, partner training, and company-sponsored education.
  • Guaranteeing that company-recommended enterprise solutions are thorough, meet customer expectations, and align with business needs.
  • Building relationships with the local technology community, including manufacturers and system integrators, as well as relevant customer technical personnel to establish market credibility.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to internal teams regarding the presales process and security solution capabilities.
  • Staying informed about emerging technologies, trends, and market dynamics in the security sector.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a technical sales role.
  • At least 2 years of experience focused on security.
  • 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity cloud technologies.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to discuss various security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, and identity management with clients, identifying their security challenges to propose potential solutions.
  • Capability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Active listening skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High-quality writing skills necessary for producing reports, tracking metrics, managing projects, and creating technical documentation.
  • Advanced reading comprehension skills to analyze manuals and technical reports.

Certifications

  • Candidates should possess or be working towards certifications with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Mimecast, Okta, and others as necessary for expertise in firewall/network security, endpoint protection, email security, identity management, and other security technologies.

Unique Requirements

  • Business travel may be required up to 20% for client meetings, internal engagements, travel to partner sites, conferences, and SHI offices.

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $170,000, which includes a base salary and potential bonuses. Compensation is contingent upon job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, thus varying among individuals. Benefits may encompass medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending options.
