Early Childhood Behavioral Health Associate

Denali Family Services is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Early Childhood Behavioral Health Associate to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to children aged 3-5 years who require intensive behavioral health care services and support for their families.
As an Early Childhood Behavioral Health Associate, you will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each child. Your primary responsibilities will include providing skill development and developmentally appropriate interventions in individual and group settings, observing policies and procedures to protect the privacy of health information, and participating in treatment team meetings to develop and review client goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide skill development and developmentally appropriate interventions in individual and group settings
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with clients and their families
- Transport clients to/from home, school, the agency, and community settings as part of their treatment program
- Enter client notes into CareLogic within 72 hours
- Follow mandatory reporting laws with all incidents of harm within 24 hours
- Ensure client confidentiality as prescribed by agency policy and federal law
- A high school diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience working with children (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to maintain positive professional working relationships and to work effectively within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Good written communication skills, including the ability to accurately document events and provide detailed records for clients
Work is performed at the Denali Family Services office, in schools, in homes, and in the community. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, maintain a valid Alaska Driver's License, and maintain satisfactory criminal background record.
