Role of the Senior Consultant, Clinical Specialty

The _Senior Consultant, Clinical Specialty (Research Operations)_ will play a pivotal role in the creation of electronic data capture tools, ensuring the integrity of clinical data across various specialty therapeutic areas, particularly in oncology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, and neurology. This position also involves the recruitment and training of research sites engaged in our real-world research networks. Candidates with experience in developing outcomes-based contracts and metrics for assessing performance in value-based care initiatives are highly desirable. A blend of clinical practice experience and consulting background is preferred. The individual will contribute to both specific projects and the overarching strategy for expanding our research networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical insights and guidance to the Research Operations team, including the development of Case Report Forms (CRFs) and ensuring clinical data quality control.
  • Review and audit chart review data to meet quality standards.
  • Facilitate physician pre-test interviews and screen sharing sessions for data validation.
  • Assist in the development and training for the portal used in onsite chart abstraction projects.
  • Offer clinical consultation across various projects within the business unit.
  • Conduct educational plans for oncology as part of new team member onboarding.
  • Support the creation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
  • Present marketing information and provide training to physician practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of field-based nursing experience in a clinical setting is preferred, with an advanced degree being advantageous.
  • 1-3 years of consulting or related experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with developing outcomes-based contracts and metrics for value-based care initiatives is highly sought after.
