Key Responsibilities- Provide Patient Care: Assist the Registered Nurse in providing patient care based on the individualized plan of care for a patient. Perform basic nursing activities and nursing activities requiring sterile technique, and additional clinical responsibilities as appropriate and necessary for patient population served.
- Conduct Data Collection: Collect and document patient data, including vital signs, fluid intake and output, and basic and sterile specimen collection. Properly document and maintain data on medical record and inform RN of activities performed, observations of patients and changes in patient status.
- Perform Point of Care Testing: Perform point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN. Report lab values to RN.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living: Assist patients with activities of daily living, including transporting patients to diagnostic studies and to their floor assignments, positioning and ambulating patient, and assisting with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints as delegated.
- Provide Comfort and Pain Management: Provide and document comfort and non-pharmacological pain management measures.
- Education: No experience required. One (1) year of experience in Nursing Assistant, PCT, CMA, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Tech, Phlebotomist or Medical Corpsman is preferred.
- Certifications, Registrations, Licenses: Licensed or certified in field of training (Nursing Assistant, CMA, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical Tech, Phlebotomy, etc.).
- Work Shift: Variable.
