Job Title: Metrology Engineer

At Amprius, we are seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Anode Manufacturing department, you will be responsible for the measurement and evaluation of our proprietary SiMaxx Silicon Nanowire Anode.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain various metrology tools, including electron microscopes, optical microscopes, X-ray diffractometers, and mass loading analyzers.
  • Develop and optimize analytical methods for anode characterization, including sample preparation and data analysis.
  • Produce high-quality analysis reports for production runs of anode material, providing valuable insights to our Anode and Cell teams.
  • Implement and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) based controls for anode production systems, ensuring defect-free production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide metrology support and feedback for R&D projects, driving innovation and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as Materials Science, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • At least 1 year of industry experience in metrology or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficient computer and data management skills, with experience in software applications such as Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
