Job Description

D.R. Horton, Inc., a leading homebuilder in the US, is seeking an Application Support Specialist to join their Corporate IT Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide back-office support for daily business operations, focusing on system administration, user setup, and data entry.
  • Offer subject matter expertise and support within the JD Edwards application.
  • Conduct training for the user community on systems and applications, and participate in configuring the application based on defined business processes.
  • Define, document, and understand existing business processes and procedures, and work with divisions to implement new procedures to maximize efficiencies with new or existing systems.
  • Participate in testing activities, including documenting test plans, writing test cases/scenarios, executing and running test cases, documenting and submitting problems to the development team for correction.
  • Participate in user requirement definition and analysis activities, including facilitating requirements, gathering, meeting, writing functional requirement/design documents, and documenting details of user needs for developing new feature enhancements and/or new applications.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Business, Business Administration, or Finance/Accounting.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, persuasion, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and team-based structured environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form, or via DRH applications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting, Construction, MIS, or Project Management.
