The Role

This Radiopharmaceutical Imaging Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and performing diagnostic medical imaging procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and medical imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
  • Adhere to standards for radiation safety and waste separation/disposal of radioactive agents
  • Document daily calibrations, flood films, dose calibrator accuracy checks, hot lab area surveys, dispensed pharmaceuticals, and radioactive source disposal
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to established procedures
  • Perform periodic quality control tests, documenting according to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting required
  • 2 years of experience in a clinical Radiology setting preferred
  • Current State Licensure required
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration from ARRT or NMTCB required

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
