Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team at BNE Real Estate. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating project activities to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating project schedules, including short interval and overall project schedules.
  • Review and become familiar with owner contracts and terms and conditions.
  • Distribute project schedules and ensure subcontractors have the most up-to-date scopes of work.
  • Obtain necessary permits as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Review drawings and specifications to become familiar with the project and identify long lead times and critical path items.
  • Complete sub-evaluations, comparisons of bids, scope reviews, and buyouts as requested by the Project Manager.
  • Develop and manage project submittal logs and obtain designer approval.
  • Ensure contracts, insurance, and bonds are current and received before subcontractors perform work on site.
  • Prepare project meeting agendas and associated attachments as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Attend weekly project meetings and keep detailed meeting minutes for publishing to the project team.
  • Draft, submit, and track RFIs and distribute to team members as appropriate.
  • Review project logs with the Superintendent on a weekly basis.
  • Pursue and monitor submittals and track deliveries of materials.
  • Collect and distribute coordination drawings from subcontractors and review with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Collect subcontractor changes for review by the Project Manager.
  • Complete quantity take-offs as requested by estimating and the Project Manager.
  • Distribute punchlists and follow up as necessary to ensure timely completion of punchlist work.
  • Collect close-out documents for certification and assemble the close-out package.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of construction experience.
  • Knowledge of construction documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Procore is recommended.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with owners, supervisors, subordinates, outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, squatting, bending, climbing, crawling, and jumping short distances.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Working Conditions

The employee will be consistently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, typical construction job site matter, travel between locations, a typical office environment, and construction equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
