Insurance Defense Litigation Coordinator

This role supports attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment, managing tasks such as calendaring, scheduling, and electronic filing. The ideal candidate will be self-starting, agile, creative, collaborative, strategic, passionate, and communicative.

• Apply specialized knowledge of legal procedures to support litigation efforts
• Calendar management, processing mail, electronic filing (varies by office location and structure)
• Scheduling litigation events, including depositions, mediations, and hearings
• Propounding discovery, preparing deposition notices, including non-retained and retained expert witnesses, filing motions and pleadings

• Previous experience required: 1-7 years of recent civil defense litigation secretarial experience preferably in insurance defense or personal injury
• Knowledge of legal and medical terminology, local and state rules regarding pleadings and pre-trial matters, deadlines, and filing requirements
• Calendaring and scheduling experience within a legal environment
• Strong organizational skills, prioritizing urgent and non-urgent tasks (items with deadlines, handling demands), multitasking
• E-filing experience
• Working knowledge of local court electronic filing systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
• Working knowledge of Case Management system
• Working knowledge of Document Storage system

The estimated annual salary for this role is $57,074.88 - $70,000.00, depending on skills and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, employees are eligible for an annual raise and bonus.
