Role Overview

This position involves conducting comprehensive information security evaluations of high-risk third-party vendors who handle sensitive client data. The primary goal is to ensure that these vendors adhere to our stringent information security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough assessments of third-party security programs to identify any gaps that could pose risks to our clients.
  • Collaborate with enterprise vendor managers and third parties to prepare for assessments, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and reviewed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of information security controls and complete detailed assessment workpapers.
  • Maintain and manage compliance risk findings, effectively communicating any identified risks to senior leadership.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives to enhance the assessment program, providing opportunities to develop leadership skills through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in Information Security Controls, including Infrastructure Security, Access Management, and Application Security.
  • Strong background in IT Compliance and Audit practices.
  • Experience with Risk Assessment and Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, and/or CISA.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are critical for success in this role.

Work Environment

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a proactive approach to completing assessments within established timelines.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve complex security challenges.
  • Proficiency in evaluating the security and practicality of technology systems.
  • Familiarity with standards such as NIST, PCI, ISO, SDLC, COBIT, and ITIL is advantageous.
