Risk and Safety Analyst

This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a Risk and Safety Analyst, you will support the GMR Risk Management Department in overseeing corporate insurance and claims management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the placement and administration of GMR's insurance program, ensuring timely completion of applications and accurate underwriting information.
  • Distribute Vehicle ID cards and Certificates of Insurance, and process requests for insurance certificates from third parties.
  • Assist the field/broker and others on Surety process, including increases, decreases, name changes, and other surety-related functions.
  • Manage the surety bond program, including transactions, issuance, cancellation, and/or amendments when required.
  • Work with the Broker to ensure distribution at renewal of all certificates of insurance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, and assist with maintaining TPA location structures.
  • Prepare internal and external claims reports to support accounting/finance, operations, executive management, and actuarial analysis.
  • Manage the invoicing process, including coding, tracking, and filing.
  • Audit insurance premium payments and assist with invoicing/billing from insurers and brokers.
  • Assist with insurance provider inspections, audits, or other compliance activities as necessary.
  • Handle technical inquiries and requests from business, and provide guidance.
  • Create and maintain historical risk exposure schedules for GMR's property and liability programs.
  • Assist in the management of various monopolistic State Self-Insured and State Fund programs.
Requirements:
  • Five (5) or more years of risk analyst or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manipulate data in common analytical software platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Should demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, organization, analytical, and presentation skills.
