Job Overview

W3Global Inc is seeking a skilled Saw Filer to join our team. As a key member of our sawmill operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance and repair of all saw filing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine saws for defects and identify areas for improvement
  • Repair and sharpen blades to optimize performance
  • Braze or weld cracks to extend equipment lifespan
  • Straighten twists and kinks to maintain precision
  • Operate saw-filing machinery and adjust cutting width of teeth
  • Compute number and angle of teeth to specification
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or wood products manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of saw filer tools and techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience in operating and maintaining machinery
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Dexterity and mechanical skills
  • Some computer knowledge
