Position Overview

The Sales Associate for Retail Operations plays a crucial role in delivering sales and maintaining continuity within a designated retail area. This position is essential for representing Acosta and our esteemed Clients through effective store engagement and achieving sales targets as outlined by management to ensure outstanding in-store performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets across all Clients within the assigned territories as directed by management.
  • Meet and exceed client expectations regarding sales performance and call coverage in the designated area.
  • Support supervisors with retail initiatives such as product launches and promotional contests as required.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of the assigned retail territory in accordance with client frequency plans during each reporting cycle.
  • Implement the retail territory coverage strategy to meet sales and coverage objectives effectively.
  • Maintain accurate retail reporting and submit it daily.
  • Address all inquiries from clients and document any issues through the designated reporting tools.
  • Ensure that all client priorities and sales goals are achieved consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with store personnel regarding client information.
  • Notify management of any unmet objectives with appropriate justification.
  • Facilitate the placement of new and existing products in line with client guidelines for speed to shelf.
  • Ensure full distribution and proper display of products in accordance with the established plan-o-gram.
  • Rotate stock, clean displays, and price merchandise as necessary.
  • Conduct regular checks on product date codes and adherence to approved plan-o-grams.
  • Report any observations to management regarding outdated products, stock imbalances, out-of-stock situations, and point-of-purchase requirements, including competitive products.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in retail or sales is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and capability to drive for extended periods.
  • Availability for overnight travel and occasional weekend work.
  • Willingness to work nights and holidays as required by the position.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Good vision and proficiency in operating various office equipment are necessary.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
