Position Overview:
At Forvis Mazars, our Forensics & Valuation division is spearheaded by a dedicated team of seasoned experts who value individual motivations and strengths. Our professionals specialize in delivering a range of services, including forensic accounting, litigation support, and fraud examination, while addressing intricate valuation challenges faced by clients concerning compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and financial reporting.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Forvis Mazars Forensic & Valuation Intern, you will enhance your skills, broaden your knowledge base, and cultivate collaborative relationships within the practice and with clients. You will receive significant support from firm leadership for your professional growth and will engage in client services nationwide. Our leadership team is committed to fostering a supportive and respectful atmosphere for all team members.

Your Contributions Will Include:

  • Developing business valuation models and comprehensive reports.
  • Conducting research and analysis of industry trends, transactional data, and economic factors.
  • Preparing for and engaging in management interviews, either in person or via teleconference.
  • Supporting audit teams in reviewing and validating fair value assessments.
  • Assisting with quantitative testing related to quality control measures.
  • Participating in investigations, litigation support, and forensic consulting projects.
  • Performing in-depth analysis of financial and legal documents, examining potentially fraudulent transactions, and reconstructing financial statements.
  • Utilizing technical research skills to gather, organize, summarize, and interpret data to reach informed conclusions.
  • Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to exceptional client service through prompt and effective communication with both internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Willingness to travel, potentially up to 20%.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (both in major and overall).
  • Aspirations to sit for the CPA exam.
  • Interest in obtaining the Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credentials.
