About this Role:
Cable Communication Services
The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Manager (PM) with assigned project tasks, ensuring timely follow-up on deliverables and reviewing progress with the PM.
When not engaged in project-specific tasks, the Project Coordinator will contribute to other project and proposal initiatives or may rotate through various operational support teams.
Compensation:
This is a salaried position. The salary range is $55,000-$85,000, which may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
Location/Travel Requirements:
This position is based in Black Hawk, South Dakota, with travel required to project sites in South Dakota and other surrounding areas as necessary throughout the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the PM in developing the initial project timeline in collaboration with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management teams.
- Engage in value engineering and constructability assessments.
- Collaborate with procurement to create subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and contract schedules for PM review.
- Work with the Health and Safety Manager on all safety-related matters, including the creation and implementation of project-specific safety plans, incident reporting, and supporting incident investigations.
- Support the PM with project scheduling and assist in preparing monthly project review reports for the project management team and senior leadership.
- Provide feedback to enhance the quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative project deliverables.
- Assist in the procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Monitor the overall progress of design, procurement, and construction activities.
- Facilitate project close-out and warranty management.
- Conduct post-construction cost reviews and reporting, and participate in lessons learned sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the PM, including acting as PM when necessary and deemed qualified.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage field documentation.
- Create daily progress reports.
- Capture progress photographs.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability assessments.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience with DB/EPC projects in the power delivery sector; ability to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation operations.
Proficient in managing multiple projects while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Strong knowledge of project management systems, preferably Primavera 6.
Familiarity with technology and proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and other relevant software).
Demonstrated management and supervisory abilities.
High integrity and ethical standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Valid, active driver's license.
