Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is in search of a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Critical Care Specialist to become a part of our esteemed team at Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) in the picturesque Elmira, New York. We are looking for candidates who are exceptional clinicians, excel in collaborative environments, adhere to evidence-based practices, and are dedicated to delivering top-notch patient care. Our scheduling system is designed for convenience, allowing physicians the flexibility to reside outside the immediate area if desired.

Here are some key highlights of this position:

  • AOMC stands as the sole regional perinatal center, providing comprehensive women's health services, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Our services encompass conventional ventilation and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV). Physicians benefit from excellent nursing support and a variety of pediatric sub-specialty consults and in-house services.
  • The NICU is a 20-bed facility, averaging 1,500 deliveries annually, with nearly 300 NICU admissions and a daily patient census ranging from 13 to 15.
  • About 15-20 percent of our admissions are transfers from nearby hospitals serving surrounding regions.
  • Conveniently located near a desirable suburban area and a prominent university.

Arnot Ogden Medical Center is a 266-bed tertiary care facility and the flagship institution of Arnot Health, a regional non-profit health system established from the merger of AOMC and St. Joseph's Hospital. This health system caters to the community through three hospitals, along with various long-term care centers, rehabilitation facilities, and local physician practices.

Compensation Range: $225,000 to $275,000 based on years of experience.
