Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping activities, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipping logistics.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient and motivated warehouse workforce, focusing on productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Organize workload throughout the department to maximize efficiency and meet company goals.
  • Monitor individual and team productivity, driving continuous improvement through process enhancements and one-on-one coaching.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
  • Research and resolve pick and ship reported errors, addressing the root cause to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Record and monitor staff attendance, approve PTO, and perform annual performance evaluations.
  • Meet warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, and identifying variances.
  • Interview, hire, and train new team members.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED required; degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a warehouse lead or supervisor, with strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Forklift certification (sit-down, order picker, reach truck) and proficiency in WMS.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to delegate and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work some weekends and holidays, with potential overtime.
