Position: Back Office Application Administrator II - OnBase

Role Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Back Office Application Administrator II - OnBase to contribute to our operations.

This role entails overseeing system performance, managing upgrades, and resolving issues related to third-party applications supported by our team. The Administrator will also facilitate existing workflows for various business units based on their requirements. Access to sensitive information will be necessary, and maintaining confidentiality regarding classified customer and employee data is essential.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Administering OnBase systems is essential.
  • Addressing and resolving issues related to Document Management products.
  • Proficiency in SQL query development and optimization in SQL Server.
  • Some familiarity with VB.Net or C# is required, with the ability to comprehend and refactor code.
  • Troubleshooting and rectifying system/database performance challenges.
  • Executing application upgrades and implementing necessary software updates/patches.
  • Occasionally developing PowerShell scripts for task automation.
  • Integrating with relevant external tools.
  • Conducting daily system/application administration, including new implementations and system configuration/security.
  • Serving as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for application administration and support in a production environment.
  • Providing front-line application administration, support, and guidance, including service packs, upgrades, and infrastructure modifications.
  • Testing applications, upgrades, and patches before deployment in the production environment.
  • Collaborating with project teams to troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions for recurring problems.
  • Creating reports and dashboards.
  • Resolving user issues through Helpdesk ticket management.
  • Sharing on-call responsibilities for supported applications.
  • Effectively communicating technical and business challenges to diverse audiences.
  • Administering and supporting additional third-party applications as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a system administrator for enterprise applications, with a preference for OnBase administration, OnBase API, and/or OnBase Workflow Administration.
  • 2-5 years of experience with SQL Server, focusing on system and query optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in the insurance sector is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OnBase is essential.
  • Familiarity with Internet Information Services (IIS) is essential.
  • Certification in OnBase API, Workflow, and System Administration is preferred:
    • OnBase Certified System Administrator (OCSA).
    • OnBase Certified Workflow Administrator (OCWA).
    • OnBase Certified Application Programming Interface (OCAPI).
  • Ability to write and analyze SQL queries.
  • Capability to document user requirements and construct process workflows.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems capabilities and limitations, with the ability to assess requirements for feasibility regarding effort, time, and costs.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to proactively address business challenges.
  • Ability to accurately estimate the level of effort required for development tasks.
  • Technically adept with proven troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business contexts.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, task planning, and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in gathering requirements from a diverse range of project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT solution architecture.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes is desirable.
