Role Overview

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team in the Echocardiography department. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care at a proficient level, ensuring a safe environment, optimizing outcomes, and maximizing available resources.

About the Job

This full-time position requires 80 hours of work per pay period and offers a competitive salary range of $37.06-$57.44 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of recent ICU, Telemetry, EP/Cath Lab/I.R. RN experience.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and document pre/post procedure assessment/evaluation/education of patients.
  • Respond to life-threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols for treatment.
  • Provide nursing care in a technically complex environment.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or family members and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years' experience).
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
