Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. The successful candidate will evaluate, administer, and assess respiratory therapy treatments to patients with heart and lung abnormalities.

This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen, therapeutic aerosols, and airway care
  • Set up and monitor complex respiratory equipment
  • Determine the effectiveness of therapies and make recommendations to physicians
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain skill levels to reflect changing procedures and techniques

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved school of Respiratory Therapy
  • One year recent clinical experience in Respiratory Care
  • License to practice as a respiratory care practitioner through the Washington State Department of Health
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Healthcare provider BLS Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certifications within six months of date of hire

Estimated Salary: $45.75/hour
