About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Affairs Specialist to join our team at Spectrum. As a key member of our Business Services department, you will play a critical role in supporting our efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Government Relations: Manage all communications with local governments in central Ohio, working to resolve differences between the Company and government officials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams across the organization to ensure seamless execution of government relations strategies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, ensuring that Spectrum's interests are represented and protected.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may impact Spectrum's business operations or reputation.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with government officials, internal stakeholders, and other external partners.
  • Government Affairs Experience: Proven experience in government relations, with a strong understanding of local government operations and policies.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
