We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Charge Nurse to join our team at Mercy Retirement & Care Center, a leading provider of senior care services. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, while also providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan the nursing care of residents in the skilled nursing setting, with the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Ensure continuity of care by providing direct care and supervising the care given by CNAs and supportive staff members.
  • Follow proper infection control procedures and supervise staff in infection control procedures.
  • Participate in resident and family teaching, and maintain the role of resident advocate with a focus on organization mission and values.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Cleared Criminal Record clearance through the Department of Social Services prior to presence in the community.
  • Health screening and TB test results not older than 6 months.
  • Current First Aid Training and Certifications as per Title 22.
  • A current nursing license issued by the State of California is required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and typing, sufficient enough to be successful with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
  • Minimum of six months in long term care, home care or related field.
  • Demonstrated competence in technical and manual skills according to the scope of practice for RN's/LVN's.
