Job Title: Construction Office Engineer

Job Summary:

TYLin International is seeking a highly skilled Construction Office Engineer to join our team in the Washington D.C. Metro Area. As a key member of our Construction Management team, you will be responsible for inspecting construction procedures, verifying work completed by contractors, and setting up and maintaining project documents and files.

Responsibilities:

  • Enforce construction safety rules and regulations.
  • Read and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Complete daily inspection reports.
  • Assist in the documentation of pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.
  • Ensure general compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Accurately track change order payments.
  • Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.
  • Prepare monthly pay quantities and development of the Final Estimate.
  • Establish project filing system in accordance with DDOT requirements.
  • Log and manage project submittals, RFIs, and correspondence.
  • Create meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file to relative attendees.
  • Review and file project daily reports.
  • Prepare construction closeout documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional licensure in the District of Columbia required.
  • At least 6+ years of experience in the inspection of bridge and roadway construction projects.
  • Preferred certifications: NICET Level III, ACI Certification, MARTCP Certification, Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC), OSHA 30 Hours, and applicable DC Department of Transportation Certifications.
