Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives to identify, develop, and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in endocrinology and rare diseases, enhancing the company's reputation as a leader in scientific innovation.
  • Provide scientific expertise for pre-launch activities, including medical congresses, advisory boards, and educational programs.
  • Establish and maintain long-term, strategic scientific relationships with KOLs, ensuring their research and clinical interests are aligned with company objectives.
  • Collect and relay medical and clinical insights internally to inform strategic medical positions, plans, and future research endeavors; identify unmet medical needs.
  • Spot opportunities for scientific advancement and the generation of medical evidence to support and expand therapeutic initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of medical-scientific knowledge in endocrinology and rare diseases, interpreting and disseminating relevant scientific data as it pertains to the company's products.
  • Contribute to the development of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and standard response letters (SRLs) in a balanced and fair manner.
  • Deliver educational programs in accordance with established objectives, serving as a resource for the dissemination of clear and balanced medical-scientific information to both internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Terminal degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.) preferred; candidates with advanced degrees (PA, APRN) and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MSL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly in providing MSL-level support for products in endocrinology and/or rare diseases.
  • Experience in KOL development, investigator-initiated clinical trials, publications, and educational initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Strong scientific background in endocrinology, particularly in growth hormone-related disorders.
  • Experience in other Medical Affairs functions (e.g., Publication Planning, Scientific Communications, HEOR) is advantageous.
  • Pre-launch experience is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time; valid driver's license required.
  • Proven relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong presentation and writing capabilities; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Project, etc.).
  • Must demonstrate a style that fosters respect, credibility, and trust throughout the organization.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated.
