The Financial Accountant III is responsible for providing oversight and subject matter expertise in managing staff responsible for the review, analysis, planning, and design of new accounting and reporting requirements affecting California's statewide financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Financial Accountant IV to develop and implement accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on accounting and reporting matters.
- Conduct reviews and analysis of financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including state agencies and external partners.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and reporting standards and regulations.
The Financial Accountant III will work in a hybrid telework environment, with the option to work from home or in the office. Free parking is available on site.
