Role:


The Assistant Service Technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep of light-commercial and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, along with their associated controls.

This position involves supporting Senior Service Technicians and Service Technicians during tasks that require additional manpower.

Responsibilities include executing work assigned by the Service Manager and/or Service Coordinator, maintaining comprehensive and precise records of all tasks performed, and effectively communicating work status with relevant parties. The technician may also be tasked with managing a fully equipped service vehicle, which will be taken home overnight. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role.

Minimum Compensation:
USD $20.00/Hr

Maximum Compensation:
USD $23.00/Hr

Responsibilities:
- Driving company vehicles to and from home, branch office, and job sites as necessary.
- Maintaining light-commercial and commercial HVACR systems and controls.
- Assisting Service Technicians with the inspection and repair of HVACR systems.
- Procuring parts and tools required for tasks from local suppliers.
- Coordinating and communicating with team members when present.
- Updating job status with jobsite customer representatives and/or property managers.
- Keeping complete, accurate, and timely job records to keep the office informed of work progress.
- Adhering to schedules and tasks set by the Service Manager and Service Coordinator.
- Following all safety, quality, and productivity standards established by the Lead Service Technician.
- Complying with service procedures set by customer service staff, including IVR check-in, backup paperwork, and documentation.
- Participating in training and testing programs as required.

Qualifications:
- High school equivalency required.
- EPA Certification required.
- NATE ICE certification required.
- Proficiency in English speaking and writing required.
- Experience in a construction environment preferred.
- General proficiency with smartphones, computers, tablets, and related software preferred.
- Ability to maintain light to moderate physical activity for an 8-hour period in outdoor environments with exposure to various weather conditions required.
- Capability to perform more strenuous physical tasks, including extended overhead work, crawling in tight spaces, and lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel away from home for several days at a time preferred.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.

Standard hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, but employees should be prepared to work up to 50 hours per week when workload demands it.
