Role:
The Assistant HVAC Technician is tasked with the upkeep of light-commercial and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, along with their associated controls.
This role also involves assisting Senior Service Technicians and Service Technicians when the workload necessitates additional support.
Responsibilities include executing work assigned by the Service Manager and/or Service Coordinator.Maintaining detailed and precise records of all tasks performed and effectively communicating work status with relevant parties is essential.
This position may require the maintenance of a fully equipped service vehicle, which may be taken home at the end of the day. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role.Benefits:

Min Compensation:
USD $20.00/Hr

Responsibilities:
Driving company vehicles to and from home, branch office, and job sites as necessary.
Maintaining light-commercial and commercial HVACR systems and controls.
Assisting Service Technicians with the inspection and repair of HVACR systems and controls.
Acquiring necessary parts and tools from local suppliers.
Coordinating and communicating with team members on-site.
Updating job status with customer representatives and/or property managers.
Keeping accurate and timely job records to ensure the office is informed of work progress.
Adhering to schedules and tasks established by the Service Manager and Service Coordinator.
Following all safety, quality, and productivity standards set by the Lead Service Technician.
Complying with service procedures outlined by customer service staff, including IVR check-in, backup documentation, and photographic records.
Participating in training and evaluation programs as required.
Qualifications:
High school equivalency required.
EPA Certification required.
NATE ICE certification required.
Proficiency in English speaking and writing required.
Experience in a construction environment preferred.
General proficiency with smartphones, computers, tablets, and related software preferred.
Ability to maintain light to moderate physical activity for an 8-hour period in outdoor conditions with exposure to varying weather elements required.
Capability to perform more strenuous physical tasks, including extended overhead work, crawling in tight spaces, and lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs. required.
Willingness to travel away from home for multiple days preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.
Standard hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, but employees should be prepared to work up to 50 hours per week when workload demands it.
