Role:
The Assistant Service Technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep of light-commercial and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, along with their associated controls.
This position involves assisting Senior Service Technicians and Service Technicians when the workload necessitates additional support.
Responsibilities include executing tasks assigned by the Service Manager and/or Service Coordinator, while ensuring meticulous documentation of all work performed and effectively communicating the status of tasks to relevant parties. The technician may also be tasked with maintaining a fully equipped service vehicle, which is taken home at the end of the day. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role.Benefits:

Min Compensation:

Responsibilities:
- Driving company vehicles to and from job sites as required.
- Maintaining light-commercial and commercial HVACR systems and controls.
- Assisting Service Technicians with inspections and repairs of HVACR systems.
- Procuring necessary parts and tools from local suppliers.
- Coordinating and communicating effectively with team members on-site.
- Updating job status with customer representatives and property managers.
- Keeping accurate and timely records of work performed to keep the office informed.
- Adhering to schedules and tasks set by the Service Manager and Service Coordinator.
- Following safety, quality, and productivity standards established by the Lead Service Technician.
- Complying with service procedures as directed by customer service staff.
- Participating in necessary training and testing programs.
Qualifications:
- High school equivalency required.
- EPA Certification required.
- NATE ICE certification required.
- Proficiency in English speaking and writing is essential.
- Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with smartphones, computers, tablets, and related software is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity for extended periods in various outdoor conditions is required.
- Capability to engage in more strenuous physical tasks, including overhead work, crawling, and lifting objects up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel away from home for extended periods is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but employees should be prepared to work up to 50 hours per week when necessary.
