Charge Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Registered Nurse to join our General Surgical Unit at Mercy. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of nurses, and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing, and evaluating patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
- Coordinate and manage patient flow, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and education programs to promote best practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a General Surgical or similar setting.
- Current RN licensure in the state of hire and compact licensure if applicable.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification and ACLS/BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy.
