Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to a diverse population of surgical patients, including those undergoing abdominal, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
  • Lead and mentor a team of nurses, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, medications, and treatment plans
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of bedside nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or critical care setting
  • Current RN licensure in the state of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
