Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Nurse to join our Cardiac Medical Stepdown Unit team at Mercy. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
  • Lead a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care and achieve unit goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and maintain accurate patient records and reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and unit operations
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of bedside nursing experience
  • Current RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • PCCN certification preferred
