Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated transit program operations manager to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including transit providers and the leadership team of the Public Transportation Division, to formulate, oversee, and execute policies and procedures that enhance transit services across the state. Your responsibilities will also involve liaising with various departments such as human resources, information technology, financial services, and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the leadership team to establish priorities and develop strategic plans and objectives for the unit.
- Supervise a team of up to 14 staff members to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Direct and manage the operations of the Program Services Unit.
- Identify solutions and lead the resolution of operational challenges.
- Engage with staff and stakeholders to communicate and clarify existing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor grant statuses to ensure efficient utilization of funds.
- Assist in the preparation of budget requests and necessary documentation.
- Manage resource procurement within budgetary constraints.
- Develop and oversee agreements for collaborative projects with other governmental entities.
- Lead and evaluate policy, planning, and research initiatives on issues of statewide significance.
- Collaborate with other divisions to ensure program operations align with established policies and plans.
- Work in a hybrid office environment with some travel required within the state.

Minimum Qualifications:
Six years of supervisory, management, or progressively related experience;
OR
Three years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
